Title[Recruitment] Opportunity to Teach Computer Science in Nigeria (Elice)

Elice is recruiting students in Korea to help bridge the digital divide in Nigeria through computer science (CS) education. This project offers a unique opportunity for students in Korea to play a crucial role in addressing the digital divide in Nigeria, gain hands-on teaching experience, and make a meaningful impact on their home country.

Project Overview:
This initiative is in collaboration with the National Information Society Agency (NIA) and the Information Access Center (IAC) Project. The IAC Project, implemented by the Ministry of Science and ICT and NIA, aims to reduce the global digital divide by providing digital education resources and infrastructure to underserved communities.
 
The project's goal is to launch a CS boot camp in Nigeria to:
- Enhance digital literacy.
- Introduce foundational coding and computer science skills.
- Promote sustainable education initiatives that empower local communities.
 
We are seeking candidates who are:
- Nigerian students studying in Korea.
- Koreans interested in gaining teaching experience in Africa, specifically Nigeria.
 
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Basic digital literacy and understanding of coding (training and testing will be provided).
2. Strong English communication skills.

How the Bootcamp Will Work
  • The bootcamp will run for 4 days, the instructor will help with lecture guidance for 4 hours per day (Total of 16 hours).
  • Instructional content and technical education will be delivered by Elice.
  • The local facilitator will manage and lead the classes on-site.
