Compensation: KRW 3,000,000 (gross)

Summary of Position:

The Program Assistant will support a short-term, faculty-led international program conducted in South Korea and Japan during May–June. The role involves on-site academic, logistical, and student support, including accompanying the group during the Japan component of the program.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support for the program in Korea and Japan
  • Assist with student support, coordination of activities, and communication between faculty, students, and local partners
  • Support academic sessions, site visits, excursions, and group logistics
  • Accompany the group during the Japan portion of the program (approximately 5– 6 days), including travel coordination and on-site assistance
  • Assist with orientations, briefings, and program-related events
  • Support emergency response and issue resolution as needed during the program period
  • Perform other program-related duties as assigned by the program leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Language skills:
    • Korean: Native or near-native proficiency
    • English: Professional working proficiency
    • Japanese: Conversational proficiency sufficient for basic communication and on-site coordination
  • Ability to travel internationally and work flexible hours during program activities
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to operate in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
  • Demonstrated professionalism, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting short-term or faculty-led programs
  • Prior experience in international education, study abroad, or student services
  • Familiarity with travel coordination or on-site program operations
  • Experience living or studying in Japan
